writing exercise

As a part of the SPiLL PROpagation’s mentoring project, I was paired with a mentor, karen elaine spencer who encouraged me to take part of the RAIQ’s “Cache-toi matière! : Langage et interdisciplinarité” workshop with Simon Brown. Then, karen encouraged me to publish an excerpt from my final work.
Floor trembles with leaving footsteps of various rhythms. Salutations shared, au revoir, bye bye, à la prochaine. Some stayed, wanting, thirsting for more, shiny eyes. Sunset is over, the rays are gone, cold outside. Ceiling lamps, lights turned on, warm inside. In this black-floored room, each goes back to one’s own paper and pen, one’s own thoughts. Eyes down, heads bent over, bodies crouched. Moving wrists, shadows on paper under the ceiling. On the writing board – for inspiration, Simon says. Tonnerre, crispé, ambiance, séculaire, insoluble, flaque, charnière, composter.
